Drum Skimmer – MR-TYS

Drum type oil scrapers; It ensures that the oil and its derivatives on the water surface decompose and stick to the drum while the floating drums are rotating. The scraping blades on the drums collect the adhering oil in the reservoir on the oil scraper over the drum. The transfer of the oil accumulated in the reservoir is made by means of pumps connected to the oil skimmer or power unit.

The drums of oil scrapers also act as floaters. This feature eliminates the need for heavy, large and expensive additional buoyancy systems.
