Training And Exercises
MARE has the authority document laid down in the law numbered 5312 “The Procedures and Principles of Training Seminars and Exercise Programs for Oil and Other Pollution Preparedness and Intervention”. Concerning Circular for the Procedures and Principles of Training Seminars and Exercise Programs Related to Pollution Preparedness and Response from Oil and Other Hazardous Materials T.C. within the scope of Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Maritime (Circular Date: 14.02.2008 and Circular No: 2008/2), 54 group training seminars have been organized by us within the last 4 years.
The training content prepared within the scope of the legislation is enriched with the presentations and videos of the actual pollution response events compiled from our own operations. Our trainers have received relevant trainers ‘certificates from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and have field experience and other certifications related to trainers, such as trainers’ training. The scenarios of the shore facility exercises are carried out both pre-arranged and unannounced by consulting with the managers of the shore facility in order to provide the most benefit.
